If thoughts become our reality then whats happening in our heads? You see its more than just belief, its more than just request, its the knowing. Wayne Dyer calls it ‘managing coincidences.’ So making the shift from ‘I wish I had it’ to ‘I will create this’ is the key here .
Let me share with you the thought process that has allowed me to manifest my desires:

Your authentic nature is the you of yous. Who are you when you are at your most authentic? Are you goofy, smart, powerful, shy? BE THAT. Move into your heart space and ask, "Who am I when I am at my most authentic?".
Listen carefully, then start experimenting with bringing that authentic beingness to your everyday experiences. Play with these energies in your interactions with strangers first - the waitress, the bus driver. Then, move up the scale of courage to colleagues, maybe even friends and family; witness what is possible. Notice how people respond to the authentic you. Watch how your flow opens and new opportunities manifest when you are your authentic you. Play with this and see what shows up.
